Hailing from sunny Los Angeles, Loren most recently performed in the West End in the role of Rodney in Opera North's acclaimed production of Kurt Weil's One Touch of Venus, having created the part.  He has also performed as Dean Martin in the West End hit, The Rat Pack, Live From Las Vegas, Danilo in Carl Rosa's production of The Merry Widow, and created the role of Dexter in the West End hit, Beautiful and Damned.  Since coming to this end of the pond Loren has played such roles as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Enjolras in Les Miserables, Boone in Whistle Down The Wind, the title role in Phantom Der Oper (German National Tour), performed opposite Janie Dee in the European Premier of Shostakovich's Paradise Moscow, created the title role in the new musical Courtenay, and performed as Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus for Rome Festival Opera, and for Opera North.  Before studying at the Royal College of Music in London, he played Jesus in Godspell, Abe in Barnum, The Prince/Wolf in Into The Woods (Twice!), as well as appearing in shows such as Annie Get Your Gun, Chess, Big River, The Boyfriend, Barnum (again), and too many others to list here. 

Loren was named BBC Radio2's Voice of Musical Theatre in 2002, and has also been a very popular guest singer on BBC Radio2's Friday Night Is Music Night.  Loren toured the country with Ruthie Henshall in the summer of 2005, performing in sell-out concerts, as well as producing his own concert series: Too Darn Hot.  Recently, Loren has worked on the movie version of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter, as well as appearing in Whirlwind for Streetwise Opera.
